Agaba Lucy Bagura recently completed a Master’s of Science degree in Teaching and Curriculum at Syracuse University in New York. Prior to this, Agaba worked in a number of positions, supporting development and service delivery projects in South Sudan. This includes a USAID healthy system strengthening project, where she conducted workshops and meetings with state and local stakeholders, and also implemented training of facilitators. As a Community Mobilizer for the Sudanese Red Crescent Society and the German Red Cross, Agaba worked closely with community leaders and schools to conduct sensitization and mobilization exercises for water, sanitation and hygiene programs. In other capacities, she has also worked for the World Bank’s Multi-Donor Trust Fund, and UNHCR. Through her Research Fellowship at the Zambakari Advisory, Agaba hopes to strengthen her skills and knowledge regarding the development of evidence-based curriculum and instruction, and work on implementing this research to meet the needs of target populations and educational institutions. |
