Dr. Samson Wassara, Ph.D.Vice Chancellor, University of Bahr El Ghazal
Wau, South Sudan Samson Samuel Wassara is Professor of Politics in the University of Juba. He obtained PhD from the University of Paris XI in 1994. He is currently the Vice Chancellor of the University of Bahr el Ghazal. While at the University of Juba, Prof. Wassara held various academic positions in the University of Juba and was twice Dean, College of Social and Economic Studies. He teaches political science and international relations subjects, as well as peace studies. His research interests include conflict societies, security sector, hydro-politics, state building and governance. Prof. Wassara has widely published on Africa, Sudan and South Sudan.
